about the artemis project

OUR MISSION

education is the foundation upon which we build our future

we’re here to make sure that anyone
no matter their circumstance
can access education

EDUCATION IS A PAY TO WIN SYSTEM,
AND THAT’S A PROBLEM

Academic support is really (really) expensive. But almost every top scoring HSC student has at least one private tutor, making it almost a necessity just to keep up.

If you can’t afford support, you’re stuck Googling or asking ChatGPT, getting answers that just make everything harder to understand.

IT’S A PROBLEM THAT ISN’T
HELPED BY JUST WORKING HARDER

The pay to win issue doesn’t end with admission to university. While some students may afford rent without a worry, others are stuck working 30-hour weeks just trying to get by.

The choice between grades and groceries, internships and internet costs is constant; leaving little time outside of work and study to build a career, meaning less opportunity when the degree is done.

A woman with dark hair tied back, dressed in a sports jacket, is seen in an indoor setting. She is leaning forward, and part of her face is visible. In front of her, there are objects including a piece of paper, a pen, and some electronic equipment on a table. The background shows shelves, a door, and what appears to be a coat or clothing hanging.

How we work to solve it

Charitable education support for all students.

No volunteers or donations needed.

The diagram shows the relationships and flow between these groups.
  • We offer free online tutoring options to disadvantaged students across NSW. So anyone, no matter where they are, they can get the support they need.

  • We hire university students and pay them well above market rate - for all of their time, not just paying clients.

Empowering the next generation to support their communities and succeed in their studies without donating their time for free.

  • We’re all about innovation.

Building new options to keep you engaged with school, prevent frustration before it sets in, and make sure help is there, whenever you need it.

Designed to help us scale in size, and therefore our impact, to help us support more disadvantaged students in building futures they can’t wait to chase.

  • We distribute any surplus profits to our foundation, funding university access scholarships to directly support the most disadvantaged of students.

This allows grants, donations, and sponsorships to help support our mission of empowering access to education, no matter the circumstance.

PAM
YEAR 9 STUDENT’S PARENT

“Artemis Project and their tutors truly go above and beyond, my son has been tutored by Caitlin for almost a year now, and she is so dedicated and committed. My son is normally very adverse to receiving tutoring, however with Caitlin, he is comfortable and happy, and this is reflected in his progress at school. I highly recommend the tutors at Artemis.”
